The original Black Wall Street was found by O. W. Gurley in 1865 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Tulsa’s Greenwood District was one of the wealthiest Black communities in the U.S. and a center of Black wealth. The community of roughly 10,000 residents was thriving and supported Black-owned banks, restaurants, hotels, grocery stores and luxury shops, along with offices for Black lawyers and doctors.

When you think about what Wall Street is today people usually think money, power and White America.
